ROTTER is a hard rock/progressive
metal band based out of Chicago.
Steve (guitars) has
performed with a handful of bands in the Chicagoland area over the last
10 years but ROTTER is the best thing to date! Steve was the studio
musician for the public access show, "That Wacky Show", which ran from
1991-1995 in the NW burbs of Chicago and is still airing as re-runs.
One of the last bands Steve played with was "PUSH." Perhaps some of you
in Chicago remember them. They broke up in 1995 due to "differences of
opinion." Steve, on his own, finished his album, "Wraith" (available at
this site for purchase, select Tower Records, CD baby and guitar9
records on the web.) His X-vocalist appears on a couple tracks. After
a few years of writing and producing other bands, Steve joins up with
his X-bassist, Larry, his brother Dave, and long-time friend and
drummer, Blair. ROTTER is formed. They are inspired by artists such as
Dokken, Yngwie Malmsteen, Dream Theater, Randy Rhoads, Metallica,
Shotgun Messiah, Blues Saraceno, Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert, Racer X, Ozzy,
Fates Warning, Queensryche, Mozart, Bach, Stratovarius, Kamelot and
Paganini, to name a few. Steve enjoys classical music, jazz, blues, and
of course metal! When not playing guitar, Steve is on the pc, running
his video production co. (SAR Productions), updating this site,
marketing the music, and anything else creative. Most recently, Mike
Sieczko (drums), Jack Kole (vocals) and Pete Greisch (bass) have joined
with Steve to record a new demo. We should be going into the
studio sometime early summer of 2007. We are all very excited
about the project. Pete, Mike, Steve and Jack bring very similar musical
styles into the band.
Steve's Video /
Photography production / Recording studio: (www.sarproductions.com) has
grown and come a long way since it's start in 2000. When not
working on music, Steve is either filming, photographing, or recording
other band's demos.
